Dear Parents
Wow, can you believe we are in Week 5 already! Students and staff have been busy learning and setting goals for improvement. I was lucky enough to accompany our Year 6/7’s to their aquatics activities recently. This group of students represented the school in brilliant fashion, and used their growth mindsets to tackle all challenges laid out for them. We are lucky to once again have such a great group of role models for our younger students.

I have been in Adelaide this week to attend the Leader’s Day and Literacy Summit. It was a rare opportunity where all leaders in the state were connected and working together towards our ambition for world-class education in South Australia. It was a very educational and motivating two days, and I can’t wait to share my learning with staff and students.

SAPSASA SWIMMING
Congratulations to Miller and Monique on representing our school at the swimming Carnival at Strathalbyn on Monday. They both put in tremendous efforts and should be very proud of themselves.

RECEPTION STUDENTS
Our new receptions have settled into school life beautifully. I have been impressed with their attitude towards their learning and their friendliness in the yard. It is wonderful to see their smiling faces each and everyday.

GOVERNING COUNCIL
We recently had our Governing Council AGM and I am excited to announce our new and existing governing councillors.
Chairperson - Adrian Dauk
Deputy Chair - Victoria Wetherby
Secretary - Kelly Wilson
Vice secretary - Lucy Williss
Treasurer - Kristy Russo
Councillors - Jewels Maddern, Andy Carragher, Jon Stone

Congratulations to all members. I look forward to working with you this year.

SPORTS DAY
Sports Day is rapidly approaching (Week 10).
Staff and students will soon begin training for the events. It is always a highlight of our school year, and I look forward to a big turn out of family and friends. Keep an eye out for details of the day in upcoming weeks.
