I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by. It has been another really busy year, full of ups and downs and living with Covid. I am really proud of our staff and students and what we have achieved this year. Some of the highlights of the year include the completion of our wonderful mural, the very successful pottery auction, our whole school Aldinga camp, Sports Day and of course, our fantastic Christmas show last night. We are looking forward to an enjoyable last two days to celebrate our year of learning.
It has been another awesome year at Rapid Bay and we can’t wait for 2022!
Thanks for all families that attended the Christmas play/carols night. All students involved did a fantastic job and feedback from everyone was very positive. Thanks again to Bailee, Robert and all staff for their tireless work to ensure students were prepared!
Thanks to Bailee and Sarah for volunteering to stay the night for our sleepover last night. I’m sure there will be some very tired staff and students today! It was a fantastic way to end the year.
A reminder that school will end an hour earlier on Friday for the last day of term, meaning the bus will also run an hour earlier.
We will be going with 3 classes again in 2022. Sarah will teach JP, Bailee will continue in the UP class and Jo will share the MP position with a teacher to be announced soon.
We are really excited to be working with Hugh and his team at The Resilience Project next year. Thanks to the generous support of Coles, our students will have the wonderful opportunity to participate in this very well regarded program . For more information you can visit https://theresilienceproject.com.au More information will be sent out early next year. It is a truly exciting opportunity for our school.
I am pleased to announce the recent Book Fair raised more than $500 for our school! It’s an awesome result thanks to the generous support from our families. Thanks to Zoe for all her work with the fair.
Finally, I want to thank you, the parents/carers for your support of your children and our wonderful school. A special thanks to the Governing Council, led by Victoria Wetherby, for all of your hard work and support in 2021.
I hope you have a very safe and enjoyable break with your family and loved ones.
