Dear Rapid Bay families,

As usual the term is flying by! We have a very busy and exciting second half of the term coming up! The students are getting very excited for Book Week from August 21-27. The theme for his year is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”. It is a very broad theme this year, let your creative side run wild. Thanks to Jo for organising a week of awesome activities for the students. Our dress up day will be Wednesday the 25th of August, stay tuned for more details. It is always a great event, and I can’t wait to see the costumes this year!

Our camp is rapidly approaching, we are only a few weeks away now. It is going to be a very action packed few days and everyone is incredibly excited. Payments can be made to Zoe or via bank account please call the school if payment plan is required. Please contact Zoe or myself with any queries or concerns.

The middle primary class have been lucky enough to have a pre- service teacher working with them this term. Laila Bosco-White is nearing the end of her stay with us. The MP class have loved getting to know her and have been fully engaged with her teaching. She has done a wonderful job and clearly has a very bright future in teaching.

I want to take a moment to thank once again everyone for their support and efforts during the lockdown. It was great to see the amazing work of the students and the use of seesaw meant we were able to stay somewhat connected during the crazy lock down week. We have learned a lot during this process and in case of another lock down we have a plan to connect students so they can continue to have 1:1/small group interactions with their peers and teachers. We all appreciate your efforts with the online learning.

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Jen
